LET requirements

LET requirements from PRC: documents, eligible degrees, the ₱900 fee, and first-timer and repeater rules. Check the list before you file.

Documents PRC lists

  1. PSA Birth Certificate.
  2. PSA Marriage Contract, for married female applicants.
  3. Transcript of Records with a scanned picture and the remark “For Board Examination Purposes.” PRC lists this for both first-timers and repeaters.
  4. Other requirements the Board may prescribe, such as a CHED Certificate of Equivalency.

Eligible degrees

Elementary level: BSEEd, BEEd, BSNEd, BECEd, BECE, or BSECEd.

Secondary level: BSEd or its equivalent with a major and minor, or a bachelor's degree in arts and sciences or an equivalent degree with at least 18 units in Professional Education.

Exam fee

PRC lists ₱900 for a complete exam. Confirm the amount in the online system when you file.

First-timers and repeaters

First-time BEEd applicants must present their documents in person at a PRC Regional Office. Repeat BEEd applicants do not have to appear, as long as their uploaded documents are tagged within seven days after the deadline.

PRC treats applicants with these degrees as first-timers who must appear in person: BSNEd, BECEd, BPEd, BCAEd, BSEd major in MAPEH, BTLEd, and BTVTEd.

If another site says something different

Some sites also list documents such as an NBI clearance or a government ID. These are not on PRC's Professional Teachers list as of our last check, but your Regional Office or the online system may ask for them, so follow what PRC tells you. Next, see how to apply for the LET and the LET exam schedule.
