LET exam format
LET exam format by degree: which papers you take, how long each one runs, and how items are counted. Based on PRC's program and guidelines.
What you will sit
The LET is a one-day multiple-choice licensure exam run by the Professional Regulation Commission. BEEd examinees take General Education and Professional Education. Secondary examinees also take a Specialization paper.

Which papers by degree
PRC's guidelines, which apply from the September 2025 LEPT onward, set the papers by degree. BEEd: General Education and Professional Education. BSNEd and BECEd: both of those, plus a Special Needs or Early Childhood specialization.
BPEd and BCAEd: General Education, Professional Education, and a Physical Education or Culture and Arts specialization. BSEd major in MAPEH graduates choose either PE or Culture and Arts. BTLEd graduates take one of Agriculture and Fishery Arts, Home Economics, Information and Communication Technology, or Industrial Arts. BTVTEd graduates take a Technical-Vocational specialization.
Time per paper
PRC's program for the March 15, 2026 exam ran General Education from 8:00 to 10:00, Professional Education from 11:00 to 14:00, and Specialization from 15:00 to 18:30. That is 2, 3, and 3.5 hours. Check the program for your own sitting, because PRC publishes one for each exam.
Item counts and weights
PRC's Table of Specifications lists 150 items per paper, though one specialization lists 120. For Elementary, General Education is 40% of your rating and Professional Education is 60%. For Secondary, it is 20%, 40%, and 40% with Specialization.
LETReviewer's timed mocks use these lengths. Try your own numbers in the LET score calculator.
