How to apply for the LET
How to file for the LET step by step: documents, the ₱900 fee, the PRC online system, and who must appear in person. Sourced from PRC.
Before you file
Check the filing window first. For the March 15, 2026 exam, PRC accepted applications from December 3, 2025 to February 3, 2026. For the September 20, 2026 exam, it was May 22 to July 23, 2026. We keep the latest status on the LET exam schedule page.
Then get your documents ready. The Transcript of Records needs a scanned picture and the remark “For Board Examination Purposes,” so ask your school early. The LET requirements guide has the full list.
Filing steps
- Create or update your account on PRC's online application system, known as LERIS, and choose the Professional Teachers exam, your level, and your testing center.
- Upload the documents the system asks for and pay the exam fee. PRC lists ₱900 for a complete exam.
- Book your PRC Regional Office appointment if you are required to appear in person (see below).
- Keep your Notice of Admission, and check PRC's room assignment service before exam day.
Who must appear in person
PRC's guidelines, which apply from the September 2025 LEPT onward, say first-time BEEd applicants must personally present their documents at a PRC Regional Office. Repeat BEEd applicants no longer have to appear, as long as their uploaded Transcript of Records or required documents are tagged within seven days after the deadline.
PRC treats applicants with these degrees as first-timers who must appear in person: BSNEd, BECEd, BPEd, BCAEd, BSEd major in MAPEH, BTLEd, and BTVTEd. If your degree is not listed here, ask your Regional Office.
If something goes wrong
Contact the PRC Regional Office where you filed. Filing rules can change between sittings, so treat PRC's current notice as final if it differs from this guide.
